Al Majaz, Sharjah
Al Majaz is the glittering face of Sharjah. Located along the Khalid Lagoon, it is a masterclass in urban planning, combining high-rise living with massive public spaces. It is the venue for the city's major festivals, light shows, and cultural gatherings.
The Cultural Waterfront
The transformation of the Buhaira Corniche into Al Majaz Waterfront changed the tourism landscape of Sharjah. It was designed to encourage families to enjoy the outdoors. With its amphitheater and landscaped gardens, it reflects Sharjah's title as the Cultural Capital of the Arab World.

The Khalid Lagoon is the centerpiece of the area. The calm waters reflect the city lights at night, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for evening walks and dinners.
The area is also home to the Al Noor Mosque, a stunning example of Ottoman-style architecture. It is a photographer's dream and a spiritual landmark for the community.
Al Majaz is centrally located and easy to reach by car via the Corniche Street. There are several large paid parking lots serving the waterfront area. The 'Sharjah City Tour' buses also make major stops here.
While there is no Metro, the connectivity via local Mowasalat buses is excellent. Taxis are very easy to flag down, especially near the hotels and the waterfront park entrance.
